Albert Collins Jr. (Alby) is a native of Kansas City, Kansas. Growing up he played for the KC Runnin Rebels under his parents Albert Sr. and Gayle Collins. Albert and his wife Christy have now taken over the program. Albert attended Missouri Western State University where he played 4 years at the NCAA Division 2 level. While at Missouri Western, he led the team to 2 Conference Championships and to 2 Regional Championships. In college he played both the point guard and shooting guard positions. Albert began coaching while he was finishing up in college and has now been a coach for over 20 years. He has been a head coach in the Kansas City Missouri School District for 15 years and he has also coached AAU programs for 10 years. Albert is a student of the game and is passionate about sharing his knowledge and expertise with his players.
Albert and Christy have two sons, Albert III (Tripp) and Christian.
