“I would have never imagined ten years ago I would be a basketball coach. Not because I didn’t love the game, but because I thought I didn’t have what it took to be a coach. However, all of that changed when I volunteered to step in and help out at my kids’ school. The coaches at the school during that time were all volunteers (mostly parents) who took the job to get credit for volunteer hours. Little did I know that I would end up helping out for more than just a season or two. I was actually beginning my coaching journey. I was actually beginning the pursuit of my real passion – coaching.”
“We currently have a great team of young ladies that is as close knit as a family. We have parents who are involved, motivated and die-hard fans. The other coaches and I take pride in teaching each individual player as they grow and strengthen their game. I am extremely thankful and consider myself to be truly blessed to have the opportunity to coach these young ladies and work with the KC Runnin Rebels organization.”
